Eagles’ DeVonta Smith proposes to girlfriend Mya

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith got engaged on New Year’s Eve. His girlfriend Mya shared the news in an Instagram post.

It is not clear exactly where Smith proposed to his girlfriend. It appears that he proposed to her in Philadelphia.

“Went on a ROCK climbing adventure with my forever tonight,” Mya said in the caption of the post.

He proposed to her in front of candles and a decorated area on an outdoor platform of a tall building in the city.

The 26-year-old and Mya announced on Christmas that they are expecting another child. The couple already has a daughter.

On April 15, 2024, Smith re-signed with the Eagles. He signed a three-year, $75 million extension.

Smith has been with the Eagles for the past four seasons. He was the 10th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft by the team.

Smitty has had 68 receptions for 833 yards and eight touchdowns this season. He has one game left in the season to add to those numbers.

However, with the Eagles locked into the second seed, head coach Nick Sirianni may decide to give his key players — like Smith — some rest heading into Wild Card weekend. The Eagles host the New York Giants at home at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday.

This past Sunday, Smitty had his best game of the season. He had six receptions for 120 yards and two touchdowns in a 41-7 win over the Dallas Cowboys on December 29th, 2024.
