Could the Follow A Dream team be the next NHRA’s Nitro Funny Car team? It sounds like something is brewing.
It would take a huge effort to move to the NHRA’s professional ranks. But with their current team and driver, who has spent time as a pro driver, it is possible.
The Top Alcohol Funny Car team has announced that their car is for sale. Veteran Funny Car driver Phil Burkhart Jr. has been their driver at events.
“ 🚨 Big News from Follow A Dream Racing!🚨,” Follow A Dream said in a Facebook post. “The time has come for us to take the next step in our journey. After an incredible run, we are officially putting our Top Alcohol Funny Car up for sale. This car has carried us through countless memories, victories, and lessons, but now it’s time to look ahead to the future. For our fearless leader, Jay, this is the moment he’s been working toward his entire life. His dream is becoming a reality, and we’re beyond excited for what’s next.”
The Top Alcohol Funny Car team is based in Massachusetts. They have the first blind crew chief and owner Jay Blake.
The Follow A Dream team competes in the Northeast Division.
“We can’t reveal everything just yet, but trust us when we say—this is only the beginning of something bigger, bolder, and faster. Stay tuned as the next chapter unfolds!,” the statement also said. “Thank you to all our fans and supporters who have stood by us. Here’s to new adventures on the horizon! 🏁 #FollowADream #NextLevelRacing #StayTuned #NHRAHistory”
