Texans beat the Chargers to kick off the 2024 playoffs

The Houston Texans defeated the Los Angeles Chargers to kick off the 2024 playoffs. The Texans won 32-12 over the Chargers at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.

With the win, the Texans improved to 11-7 overall. They also advanced in the playoffs.

The Chargers season came to a lose with a 11-7 mark under first-year head coach Jim Harbaugh.

Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud went 22 of 33 for 282 yards. He had one touchdown pass and one interception.

Joe Mixon had 25 carries for 106 yards and one touchdown. Nico Collins had seven receptions for 122 yards and one touchdown.

Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert went 14 of 32 for 242 yards. He had one touchdown pass and four interceptions.

The four interceptions were the most that Herbert threw in a game this season.

J.K. Dobbins had nine carries for 26 yards. Ladd McConkey had nine receptions for 197 yards and one touchdown.

The Texans outscored the Chargers 22-6 in the second half. Eric Murray scored on a 38-yard interception return for a touchdown. Mixon scored on a 17-yard rushing touchdown.

D’Angelo Ross scored on a defensive extra point return for two points. Ka’imi Fairbairn made two field foals.

He first made a 37 yard field goal. And he also made a 30-yard field goal.

Chargers’ Herbert hit McConkey for an 86-yard touchdown reception.

Houston led 10-6 at halftime. Stroud hit Collins for a 13-yard touchdown reception. Fairbairn also made a 41-yard field goal.

Chargers’ Cameron Dicker made two field goals. He first made a 35-yard field goal. Then, he made a 39-yard field goal.
