Each team was playing in their second game of the weekend. The Wings lost to the Buffalo Bandits on Saturday night in Buffalo, New York.

The Warriors lost to the Ottawa Black Bears on Friday night at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver.

This game was initially scheduled for Sunday night. However, due to the Philadelphia Eagles hosting a home playoff game on Sunday afternoon against the Los Angeles Rams at the Sports Complex, the game was pushed to Monday night to allow the Eagles fans to use the parking lots.

The Wings are now 2-2 against the Warriors all-time.

The Warriors thought that they tied the game late. However, the officials decided to review the play with 8 seconds left.

Minutes later following the review, the officials said that it was not a goal. The clock then ran out without another chance to score.

Mitch Jones – who was acquired in a trade by the Wings from the Warriors several years ago – scored five goals in the game. He also had six assists.

Joe Resetarits and rookie Brennan O’Neill had three goals apiece. Resetarits also had six assists.

Tony Malcom, Scott Dominey, and Holden Cattoni had one goal each. Malcom also had an assist.
