The Philadelphia Eagles have advanced to their second Super Bowl appearance in the last four years. They defeated the Washington Commanders 55-23 in the NFC Championship game on Sunday afternoon at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The Eagles will face the winner of the Buffalo Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs, who are currently playing in the AFC Championship Game. The two teams will play on Sunday, February 9th at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.

In the last 40 years, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni is the first coach to guide his team to the Super Bowl in his first four years with the team.
The Eagles scored the most points in a Conference Championship game in NFL history. They surpassed the 51 points that the Bills scored in the AFC Championship game against the Oakland Raiders (now the Las Vegas Raiders) in the 1991 playoffs.
According to OptaStats, the Eagles have become the first team ever in the regular season or postseason play to score 55 points, have 200+ rushing yards, 200+ Net receiving yards, 7+ rushing touchdowns, and 0 turnovers.
Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts went 20 of 28 for 246 yards. He also had one touchdown pass.
Hurts also broke a recent trend with this win. He is the first quarterback, who lost in the Super Bowl in his first appearance in recent memory to now make it back. Hurts was on the list with 17 others, but he’s the only one to get back to the big game.
Saquon Barkley had 15 carries for 118 yards and three touchdowns. A.J. Brown had six receptions for 96 yards and a touchdown reception.
Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels went 29 of 48 for 255 yards. He also had one touchdown pass and one interception.
No rookie starting quarterback has made it to the Super Bowl. Daniels is the sixth rookie Quarterback to play in a Conference Championship game.
Daniels also has six carries for 48 yards and one touchdown. Zach Ertz had 11 receptions for 104 yards against his former team.
The Eagles outscored the Commanders 28-8 in the second half. Hurts scored on a nine-yard rushing touchdown.
Hurts also scored on a one-yard rushing touchdown. Barkley scored on a four-yard rushing touchdown.
Rookie Will Shipley scored on a two-yard rushing touchdown.
Commanders’ Daniels scored on a 10-yard rushing touchdown. Following the play, Daniels hit Olamide Zaccheaus for a two-point play.
Philadelphia led 27-15 at halftime. Barkley scored on a 60-yard rushing touchdown. He also scored on a four-yard rushing touchdown.
Hurts scored on a one-yard rushing touchdown. He also hit Brown for a four-yard touchdown reception.
Commanders’ Daniels hit Terry McLaurin for a 36-yard touchdown reception. Zane Gonzalez also made three field goals.
He first made a 34-yard field goal. Then he made a 46-yard field goal.
He also made a 42-yard field goal.
