According to NBC 10 Philadelphia, a Temple University student passed away after falling from a pole on Sunday night while celebrating the Philadelphia Eagles NFC Championship Game win. The Eagles defeated the Washington Commanders to advance to the Super Bowl.
Temple has announced that their first-year student Tyler Sabapathy passed away on Tuesday. The school said that he suffered ‘critical injuries’ over the weekend.
Sabapathy, who is from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, was a student at Temple’s College of Public Health. It’s not clear how he fell. In the viral video, the man appeared to lose his balance and then fell violently to the ground, as a woman screamed.

“As a member of the university’s club gymnastics team, Tyler displayed exceptional self-discipline and work ethic, spending countless hours a week training and honing his craft,” the school said in a statement. “He was loved by his teammates, friends, and coaches here in Philadelphia.”
NBC 10 Philadelphia said that Sabapathy was the individual, who fell from a light pole in a viral video on Sunday on 15th and Market Street in Center City.

This is the latest news that came out of Sunday’s win. Following the win, a person was stabbed in the parking lot at Lincoln Financial Field.
Then, a short time later, after that incident, a driver plowed into a crowd of Eagles fans in the Spring Garden section of the city.
