The final round of the 2025 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am delivered breathtaking moments and high drama as Rory McIlroy claimed victory in spectacular fashion. The Northern Irishman’s brilliance on one of golf’s most iconic courses secured his 27th PGA Tour win, while Shane Lowry and Lucas Glover battled hard to stay in contention. Here’s how the day unfolded.

Rory McIlroy (-21): A Masterful Champion

Rory McIlroy entered the final round one shot behind Sepp Straka but quickly seized control with a flawless display of skill and composure. Carding a 6-under-par 66, McIlroy finished the tournament at 21-under, earning a two-stroke victory over Lowry. His triumph marked his second win in a PGA Tour Signature Event and his first at Pebble Beach.

McIlroy’s round was defined by precision and power. After an up-and-down par on the opening hole, he birdied the par-5 2nd to tie for the lead. His defining moment came on the par-4 10th hole, where he drained an 18-foot birdie putt into a stiff breeze to take sole possession of the lead. Later, on the par-5 14th, McIlroy crushed a towering drive and followed it with a perfect 7-iron approach to set up a 25-foot eagle putt, which he calmly converted.

“To win at one of the cathedrals of golf is cool,” McIlroy said after his victory. “Pebble Beach is such a special place, and it feels amazing to get my season off to this kind of start.”

McIlroy’s consistency throughout the week—posting rounds of 66, 70, 65, and 66—showed why he remains one of golf’s most dominant players.

Shane Lowry (-19): A Strong Runner-Up Finish

Shane Lowry delivered an impressive performance in the final round, shooting a 4-under-par 68 to secure solo second place at 19-under. Despite starting the day tied for second with McIlroy, Lowry struggled early when his second shot on the par-5 6th sailed over a cliff, leading to a bogey. However, he rebounded with an incredible back-nine charge, carding five birdies—including one on the closing hole.

Lowry reflected on his round: “I made some mistakes early, but I’m proud of how I fought back. Rory played incredible golf today—he deserved this win.”

Lucas Glover and Justin Rose (-18): Tied for Third

Lucas Glover climbed four spots on the leaderboard with a stellar final-round score of 67 (-5), tying for third place at 18-under alongside Justin Rose. Glover’s bogey-free round included birdies on holes 2, 6, and 15, showcasing his ability to stay composed under pressure.

Justin Rose also impressed with steady play throughout the week. His final-round score of 68 (-4) featured four birdies and no bogeys, cementing his position among the top finishers.

“I’m happy with how I played this week,” said Rose. “Pebble Beach is always challenging, but it’s an incredible venue.”

Other Notable Performances

  • Russell Henley (-17): Henley tied for fifth after shooting a solid final-round score of 68.
  • Cam Davis (-17): Davis joined Henley at fifth place with consistent play across all four rounds.
  • Scottie Scheffler (-15): The World No. 1 moved up one spot on Sunday but couldn’t mount a serious challenge for the title.

Sepp Straka’s Struggles

Sepp Straka began Sunday as the leader but faltered under pressure, shooting a disappointing final-round score of even-par 72 to finish tied for seventh at 16-under. Straka’s inability to capitalize on scoring opportunities cost him dearly as McIlroy surged ahead.
