The Sacramento State Horners hired Mike Bibby as their men’s basketball head coach. This will be his first head coaching opportunity at the college level.
He is taking over a program that went 7-25 during the 2024-25 season. The Hornets went 3-15 during Big Sky Conference play.

Five of their seven wins came at home. The team went 5-11 at their home facility.
The team went just 2-13 on the road.
Bibby was previously a high school coach. He spent time as the Hillcrest Prep High School head coach in 2019.
He also was the Shadow Mountain High School from 2014-2019. Before being named Shadow Mountain head coach, he spent one season as their assistant coach in 2013-14.
Bibby played in the NBA from 1998 through 2012. He played for the Vancouver Grizzlies, Sacramento Kings, Atlanta Hawks, Washington Wizards, Miami Heat and the New York Knicks.
He spent the bulk of his career with the Kings from 2001 through 2008.
