According to Spotrac, Guerrero could have been a free agent after the 2025 season. He had previously signed a one-year, $28.5 million deal for the 2025 season.

This new agreement has an average salary of $35.7 million per season.

According to New York Post reporter and MLB Network insider Jon Heyman, this deal includes a full no trade clause. Plus, Heyman is reporting that Guerrero is also receiving an undisclosed signing bonus, as well, by agreeing to this deal.

The sides agreed to terms weeks after a self-imposed deadline. This agreement comes after the New York Mets defeated the Blue Jays 2-1 on Sunday at Citi Field in Flushing, Queens, New York.
