The Athletic interviewed three women, who claim they received unsolicited sexual photos from the 34-year-old. The incidents date back to “early 2017.”

Two women reportedly worked for the Tigers. The other woman worked in baseball, however, not affiliated with the Detroit-based team, according to the report.

The pictures were reportedly sent through Snapchat. The report suggested that the photos were “automatically deleted images after they’re seen.”

“The club promptly completed an investigation,” the team said in a statement. “Before the club could terminate Mr. Menzin, he resigned. This type of behavior is contrary to our standards and has absolutely no place within our organization. We have a positive and safe culture for our colleagues and will continue to emphasize respect, inclusion, and professionalism.”

One of the woman claimed that “people would not believe the claims” due to him being a baseball executive.

“It’s like no one says anything because who is going to believe them when they say Sam Menzin did this? It’s not like a bat boy or security guard. It’s Sam Menzin.”

He began his baseball career as an intern with the New York Mets. He began the Tigers organization in 2012. He then began to work his way up the ranks.

Menzin was the director of baseball operations and pro scouting in 2019. Two years later, he was named their assistant general manager.
