“I want to thank Calvin Booth for leading our front office for the past three years and most importantly for helping put the final pieces in place for the roster that delivered Denver and our fans their first NBA Championship,” Kroenke said. “Calvin’s knowledge of the game, his passion for scouting, and his long history as a player and executive in the NBA helped lift our organization to new heights which we will continue moving forward. We are grateful to Calvin for his eight years with the Nuggets and know his place in Nuggets history as our first championship winning GM will be honored for years to come.”

Malone has been replaced on an interim basis by lead assistant coach David Adelman. This will be Adelman’s first head coaching job in the NBA.

Adelman had been with the Nuggets as an assistant coach since the 2017-18 season. He last served as a head coach from 2006 through 2011 at Lincoln High School in Portland, Oregon.

No interim GM has been named yet for the Nuggets.

The Nuggets have the fourt-best record in the Western Conference. They have a 47-32 record.

However, the team has dropped all four games in April. They lost 125-120 to the Indiana Pacers on Sunday, April 6th.

The team also lost 118-104 to the Golden State Warriors on the road on Friday, April 4th. On Wednesday, April 2nd, the Nuggets lost to the San Antonio Spurs, 113-106.
