The Baltimore Ravens released kicker Justin Tucker on Monday. The 35-year-old is now a free agent.

Tucker struggled in his final season with the Ravens in 2024. Besides his struggles, Tucker has been alleged to be involved in a sex scandal within the Baltimore, Maryland area.

“Sometimes, football decisions are incredibly difficult, and this is one of those instances,” Ravens VP and General Manager Eric DeCosta said in a statement. “Considering our current roster, we have made the tough. decision to release Justin Tucker. Justin created many significant and unforgettable moments in Ravens history. His reliability, focus, drive, resilience, and extraordinary talent made him one of the league’s best kickers for over a decade.

“We are grateful for Justin’s many contributions while playing for the Ravens. We sincerely wish him and his family the very best in this next chapter of their lives.”

The Baltimore Banner published sexual misconduct allegations against Tucker in January 2025. Tucker has denied those first-hand testimony allegations from six massage therapists.

These massage therapists alleged that Tucker made inappropriate sexual behavior towards them from 2012 through 2016. These individuals claim that he ‘intentionally exposed his genitals, brushing his penis on some of the therapists, and left semen on the massage table after three of his treatments.’

The NFL said that they would investigate the matter. One month later, Tucker released a second statement, where he ‘apologized to anyone I have worked with’ that felt like he did not treat them professionally or as a person.

In the sixth round of April’s NFL Draft, the Ravens used a sixth round draft pick (186th overall) to draft former Arizona Wildcats kicker Tyler Loop. He was considered to have the biggest leg in the draft.

Tucker made 212 appearances with the Ravens, including winning a Super Bowl in his rookie season in 2012. He was also a seven-time Pro Bowler and a five-time All-Pro. He was also part of the Hall of Fame All-2010 Team.
