“I don’t even know where to begin,” Brown said in a Facebook post. “Grandmom you made all of us rough and tough. You were everyone’s grandma. You gave a lot of love which most was tuff love. Shaped all of us from boys to men. Your house was home to everyone. I know you are smiling ear to ear because you are with Grandpop, Grandmom Gert, and uncle Bobby. I love you and will miss you. I promise I will never stop fighting and working hard. Told me to always put my hands up and box. You lived a long life but it seems it went by way too fast. GODSPEED Grandmom I love you. Wish I could kiss you on those cheeks. #love #missingyou”

This has been a tough month for the Brown family. Antron’s uncle, Andre, who is a fellow racer, lost his wife Marsha on December 11th.

Brown returned to Chesterfield, New Jersey to be there for his family to participate in Marsha’s services. He’ll make his second trip back to New Jersey to mourn his grandmother’s passing this time around.

D’Andre Redfern, who was a great-grandchild of grandma, is also involved in the NHRA. He previously worked for Terry McMillen Racing and Bob Tasca III’s Funny Car team.

Redfern will be a part of AB Motorsports that makes its debut in February at the Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals Presented By ProtectTheHarvest.com from February 17-20 in Pomona, California.
