Herschel Walker

Herschel Walker was an NFL player. He was a fifth-round draft pick by the Dallas Cowboys in the 1985 NFL Draft.

The Wrightsville, Georgia native played in the league from 1986 through 1997. He was a two-time Pro Bowler.

Walker was one of the worst trades in league history. He was traded in 1989 from the Cowboys to the Vikings for five players that were Jesse Solomon, Issaic Holt, Darrin Nelson, David Howard, and Alex Stewart.

The deal also included six future draft picks. The Cowboys used those picks to draft Emmitt Smith, Russell Maryland, Kevin Smith, and Darren Woodson.

Walker spent six seasons with the Cowboys. He played three seasons with the Vikings. Walker also played three seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles and one season with the New York Giants.

He apppeared in 187 games, including 137 games in his career. He had 1,954 carries for 8,225 yards and 61 touchdowns.

Walker also had 512 receptions for 4,859 yards and 21 touchdowns.
