“IHRA Australia are saddened to report the news of a fatality of a Motorcycle rider that has crashed at today’s Test N Tune,” IHRA Australia said in a Facebook post. “IHRA Australia and HPR are cooperating with the police and the coroner and will be conducting a full investigation into the incident. IHRA Australia offers its deepest condolences to the family and as such the facility will be closed for the rest of the day.

“We will provide an update pending the outcome of the Investigation.”

This is the second known Australian drag racing death this year. Very popular Doorslammer Sam Fenech passed away in January following a crash.

It is the second known Motorsports death this month. Earlier this month in a Sprint Car accident in Indiana, race car driver Justin Owen was injured.

He later succumbed to his injuries as the USAC Racing organization announced his passing early Easter Sunday. Following his death, he donated his organs to help 80 people that will help them in loving a better life while his legacy as a race car driver and organ donor lives on.
