In this virtual game puck story, we’re going to award a game puck to New Jersey Devils right winger Tyler Toffoli. He had two goals and an assist in a 6-4 loss against the Washington Capitals on Wednesday night.
Toffoli scored his fifth goal of the season when he scored at 4:31 in the second period. This cut the Capitals lead to 3-1.

Later in the second period, Toffoli also scored to give the Devils a 4-3 lead. His tally came at 10:01 in the period.

It was the Devils’ fourth consecutive goal in the period. Toffoli also assisted on Timo Meier’s second goal at 5:19 in the period to cut the lead to 3-2.
Toffoli has accounted for five goals in the past two games. He had a hat trick against the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday night in Montreal, Québec, Canada.

Outside of these two games, Toffoli, who was acquired by the Devils in a trade with the Calgary Flames in the offseason, has one other goal on the season. He also scored a goal in a win against the New York Islanders on October 20th.
