Street Outlaws icon Justin “Big Chief” Shearer was planning on participating during Street Outlaws America’s List. However, the rules issues caused a disconnect.

He said he went down there to race. Big Chief said he was going to the filming for bore and was ready for revenge from the OG show filming with the Top 5 qualifiers making America’s List.

“The car was working,” he said during the Future of Big Chief on Street Outlaws video on YouTube. “The car was ready. We were going.. and I laugh when it was over because we didn’t get that opportunity. At the end of the day, there are a lot of issues that changed the way that I feel about Street Outlaws.”

But once he arrived at the location in Texas, he began to have issues. He allegedly had an issue with Jonathan “JJ DaBoss” on the rules.

Instead of trying to resolve those differences, Big Chief left. His girlfriend Jackie Braasch allegedly had an altercation with Precious Cooper, which also was a factor in his leaving.

“I’ve fought tooth and nail since the beginning for real streets and real street spots, real street racers, real street rules,” he said. “That’s what I’ve always wanted to do. I’ve wanted to keep this show and all the shows, as street as possible. Yes, we have to film it. Yes, we have to give them stuff. We get to compromise. There’s always been a compromise. I’ll do this and I’ll deal with this if you guys let us do this. We’ve dealt with it. Over the years, there have been times that I’ve not been happy with what I’m doing.

“There have been times that I’ve not been happy with what they’ve been doing. But at the end of the day, we’ve compromised to keep it as street as possible. Now, what if you don’t agree with the rules? Or the racers that are there? What if you strongly disagree with that stuff? At some point, I have to stand there and defend rules and decisions that I didn’t make and that I don’t agree with. I don’t think that they are the best for the show or everyone involved.”

With Big Chief off of the show, we do not know what his next steps are at this time. We do not know when he’ll race again or if these differences can be resolved at a later date.

He said he got to hate the situation with the show. He said with the direction of the show, he feels like he cannot overcome that. He wants to continue to be real street.
