For the second time in many days, a person tied to the NBA has gotten in trouble for a gun. First, it was Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant, who varnished a gun in an Instagram LIVE video.

Morant has been suspended for the video. The team claims that he is getting help. There is no timetable for his return.

Now, former NBA player Shawn Kemp has been arrested for an alleged drive-by shooting. The incident happened in Tacoma, Washington on Wednesday.

“At 1:58 pm, an altercation between the occupants of 2 cars led to shots being fired at a parking lot in the 4500 blk of S. Steele St,” Tacoma Police Department said in a tweet. “One car fled. No injuries were reported. A gun was recovered. A 53-yr-old male was booked for Drive-By Shooting. The investigation is ongoing.”

We have no other information at this time. However, according to the Tacoma Police inmate listing, Kemp has been arrested for the incident.

Kemp was a six-time NBA All Star during his career. He was a first round draft pick by the Seattle SuperSonics in the 1989 NBA Draft.

He played for the SuperSonics from 1989 through 1997. He then played for the Cleveland Cavaliers from 1997 through 2000.

Kemp joined his third team, as he played for the Portland Trail Blazers from 2000-2002. His final season in the league came in 2002-2003 with the Orlando Magic.
