The Boise State Broncos dominated the Colorado State Rams on Friday night. They won 56-28 at Albertsons Stadium in Boise, Idaho.
The Broncos improved to 5-2 on the season. In addition, they improved to 3-1 in conference play.
They are now on a two-game win streak in their past two games.
The Rams fell to 3-5 on the season. They are now at .500 within conference play.
This loss snapped their two-game win streak.
Broncos quarterback Brett Rypien went 22 of 26 for 308 yards. He also threw four touchdowns.
Alexander Mattison had 20 carries for 85 yards and a touchdown. CT Thomas had a 29-yard carry. Andrew Van Buren had seven carries for 24 yards. Garrett Collingham had a four-yard rushing touchdown.
A.J. Richardson had six receptions for 137 yards and two touchdowns. Sean Modster had three receptions for 61 yards and two touchdowns. Thomas had five receptions for 60 yards. Collingham had two receptions for 27 yards.
Rams quarterback K.J. Carta-Samuels went 19 of 30 for 238 yards. He also had two touchdowns and two interceptions.
Backup Collin Hill went 12 of 14 for 135 yards and a touchdown.
Izzy Matthews had 12 carries for 109 yards and a touchdown. Marvin Kinsey Jr. had six carries for 36 yards.
Preston Williams had nine receptions for 154 yards and a touchdown. Warren Jackson had nine receptions for 105 yards and two touchdowns. Kinsey Jr. had two receptions for 36 yards. Marcus McElroy had a 20-yard reception.
Both teams scored 21 points in the second half. Carta-Samuels hit Jackson for an eight-yard touchdown.
Hill also hit Jackson for a 10-yard touchdown. Matthews scored on a five-yard rushing touchdown.
Collingham scored on a four-yard rushing touchdown for the home team. Rypien hit Modster for a 25-yard touchdown.
Williams also scored on a 44-yard rushing touchdown.
The Broncos led 35-7 at halftime. Rypien hit Richardson for a 13-yard touchdown. He also hit Richardson for a 35-yard touchdown.
Mattison also scored on a three-yard rushing touchdown. Rypien hit Modster for a 17-yard touchdown reception.
Kekaula Kaniho also scored on a 74-yard punt return.
Rams’ Carta-Samuels hit Williams for a 47-yard touchdown.
