The Arizona Hotshots won their first game of the season. They defeated the Salt Lake Stallions on Sunday night at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona.
The Hotshots are now 1-0 on the season. The Stallions fell to 0-1.
Hotshots quarterback John Wolford went 18 of 29 for 275 yards. He had four touchdown passes.

Jhurell Pressley led the team with 18 carries for 64 yards. Richard Mullaney had five receptions for 57 yards.
Stallions quarterback Josh Woodrum went 10 of 22 for 103 yards. He had one touchdown pass and one interception.
Backup Matt Linehan also came in and went 7 of 13 for 56 yards. Like Woodrum, he had one touchdown pass and one interception.
Branden Oliver led the Stallions with eight carries for 40 yards. Anthony Denham had five receptions for 59 yards.
The Hotshots outscored the Stallions 19-6 in the second half. Wolford hit Rashad Ross for a four-yard touchdown reception. Following the play, Wolford hit Thomas Duarte for a two-point conversion.
Wolford also hit Pressley for a 30-yard touchdown reception. Following the touchdown, Wolford hit Mullaney for the two-point conversion. Nick Folk also made a 32-yard field goal.
Linehan hit Nick Truesdell for a seven-yard touchdown reception.
Arizona also led 19-16 at halftime. Wolford hit Gerald Christian for a five-yard touchdown reception. Following the score, Larry Rose scored on a two-point conversion.

Wolford also connected with Ross for a 36-yard touchdown reception. Following the play, Pressley scored on a two-point conversion.
Folk also made a 53-yard field goal.
Stallions’ Matt Asiata scored on a one-yard rushing touchdown. Woodrum hit Jordan Leslie for a two-yard touchdown reception. Following the play, Oliver scored on a two-point conversion.
