No Prep star and Texas racing legend James “Birdman” Finney was involved in a crash this weekend in Casper, Wyoming. He crashed during the filming of JJ Da Boss’ Fastest in America.
Finney was involved in a crash with Stan Allen. Both drivers are alive.

According to fellow Texas racer Mike Murillo, Finney does have some significant injuries and had to be transported to Wyoming Medical Center.
“He said the doctors and nurses have been excellent but he is in a lot of pain,” Murillo said. “Once again, his left hand is shattered. Three broken ribs that is making it very hard [to breathe]. They were initially scared he had three broken vertebrae, but now know they are bruised. They found something on his heart that is [a] major concern and they are doing further evaluation. There is a lot of soft tissue damage in his shoulder [that] is really hurting him and the left side of his neck is swollen.”
We do not know what injuries Allen might have suffered. Both of Finney and Allen’s cars were destroyed in the crash.
Despite the crash, Murillo said that Finney never lost consciousness during or after the accident. Murillo said that Finney remembers everything that happened to him.
Finney was pinned in the car after the crash, according to Murillo. A safety guy was able to remove Finney from the car, Murillo said.
