Sheldon Creed has won his first Championship in NASCAR’s top three tiers. He won the 2020 Gander Outdoors Truck Series Championship on Friday night at Phoenix Raceway in Avondale, Arizona.
He won the Lucas Oil 150 in the Truck Series season finale. This was Creed’s fifth win of the season.
The 23-year-old Creed is familiar with winning Championships. He was the 2018 ARCA Racing Series Champion.

Plus, he also won the 2015 and 2016 Stadium Super Truck Championships. The California native also won the 2009 LOORRS Modified Karts champion and LOORRS Junior 1 Karts Championship, 2010 LOORRS Junior 2 Karts Championship, and the 2012 LOORRS Super Lite Championship.
In addition, Creed has won the 2014 LOORRS Pro Lite Unlimited Championship in his Motorsports career.
Creed was the highest-finishes driver of the Championship 4. He won the event driving the Chevy Accessories entry for GMS Racing owned by Maury Gallagher.
Brett Moffitt was dominating, as he was leading 59 straight laps. He was coasting to a win, then a caution came out.
Following the caution, Moffitt got stuffed in the middle of a pack and lost his lead. Grant Enfinger took the lead on lap 154.
Creed went around Enfinger for the lead in the final two laps. GMS Racing’s Zane Smith finished second.
He was also a part of the Championship 4. Moffitt finished 10th.

Enfinger ended his 2020 campaign in the 13th position. With Creed winning the Championship, Smith finished second with five points behind with 4,035 points.
Moffitt was third with 4,027 points, which was 13 behind Creed. In addition, Enfinger fell 16 points behind the champion.
Besides Creed and Smith finishing in the Top 2 positions, Chandler Smith finished in the third spot.
