In the second round, Howe and Kye Kelley drew each other. Kelley needed to win the race, according to Racemaster Chris “BoostedGT” Hamilton to win the championship.

Howe eliminated Kelley from the race. This gave Martin the championship.

In a video shared on the Fireball Camaro Facebook page, Martin celebrated with his team when Howe won.

“3-Peat Baby!! Great job Jim Howe, and Odom Racing,” Fireball Camaro said in a Facebook post. “Street Outlaws Discovery Fireball Camaro XPEL”

He also clinched the 2021 championship on the final race day of the season. He defeated Shawn “Murder Nova” Ellington at Bradenton Motorsports Park in Bradenton, Florida in the first round to get the championship.

There are only three champions in the series. While Martin has three championships, Team Texas members James “Birdman” Finney and Mike Murillo have the first two NPK Championships.

This is Martin’s second championship won at the Texas Motorplex. In 2019, he defeated Kelley to win his first championship.
