According to reports, NBA legend Shawn Kemp has been released from jail. He was arrested on Wednesday night in Tacoma, Washington.
At the time when the news came out, he was booked and arrested for his alleged involvement in the alleged drive-by shooting. However, at this time, no charges have been, media reports say.
According to KIRO 7, the Tacoma Police Department will not file charges at this time. Yet, charges may be filed in the future as the case is pending further investigation.
The TV station reported that there was altercation between two parties. One of the individuals fled.
One driver allegedly shot multiple times at the other party. At this time, it is not clear who shot at the other.
FOX 13 is reporting that Kemp was tracking down items that he believed was stolen from him on Tuesday. He found the person or persons, who he believed was responsible for the crime.
He tracked the people to a location when the incident happened. FOX 13 reported that Kemp was fired at; not fired at the alleged suspects.
Kemp developed into a star with the Seattle SuperSonics. He played the majority of his career with the SuperSonics.
He also played for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Portland Trail Blazers, and the Orlando Magic. Kemp was a first round draft pick by the SuperSonics in the 1989 NBA Draft.
