Monster Energy sponsored Top Fuel Dragster driver Brittany Force got a special birthday gift. She turned 38 on Monday.
Force revealed on Instagram that her father, legendary Funny Car driver John Force is going home. He will be moving to a rehabilitation center near his residence in California.
“Most special birthday ever!,” Force said. “After 15 days in Virginia, we have been approved to move to a rehabilitation center close to home. We also got outside for a stroll downtown and finally enjoyed some ice cream together! Beyond thankful and blessed to celebrate 38 with my dad and loved ones. Thank you everyone for all the love you sent our way! God is good.”

As of press time, it is not clear when that move may take place. However, it appears like it could happen in the near future.
Force was involved in a major accident during the PlayNHRA Virginia Nationals at Virginia Motorsports Park in North Dinwiddie, Virginia. As he was going down the track in his 300+ mph Funny Car, it had a catastrophic engine failure.
This resulted in the 75-year-old hitting both guard rails before coming to a stop. Just days ago, John Force Racing said that Force was out of intensive care.
The team continues to say that he has a long road ahead in his recovery. As of press time, it is not clear when he will be able to compete again.

With this good news, the younger Force may be able to participate in the Western Swing races. However, that will be determined as the events get closer.
She missed the race at Norwalk, Ohio to be there for her father in Virginia.
