The Oregon State Beavers defeated the Utah Utes on Thursday night. The
Beavers won 24-7 over the Utes at Reser Stadium in Corvallis, Oregon.
The Beavers improved to 1-0 on the season. They are 1-0 at home.

The Utes fell to 0-1 on the season. They are now 0-1 on the road.

Utes quarterback Tommy Grady went 9 of 24 for 59 yards.
Ray Stowers had 11 carries for 26 yards. Brian Hernandez had six receptions for 68 yards.
Beaves quarterback Sean Canfield went 8 of 19 for 87 yards. He had one touchdown pass and one interception.
Yvenson Bernard had 29 carries for 165 yards and two touchdowns. Anthony Brown had one reception for 29 yards.
The Beavers outscored the Utes 17-0 in the second half. Canfield hit Darrell Catchings for a six-yard touchdown reception.
Bernard scored on a 10-yard rushing touchdown. Alexis Serna made a 37-yard field goal.

The game was tied at 7 apiece at halftime. Bernard scored on a nine-yard rushing touchdown.
Utes’ Johnson hit Brent Casteel for a 36-yard touchdown reception.
