Chargers’ Tomlinson dealing with sprained big toe again, DTD

The San Diego Chargers continue to deal with a lingering injury to star running back LaDainian Tomlinson. The Chargers have announced for the second time that Tomlinson is dealing with a sprained right big toe.

As was the case the first time, Tomlinson is listed as day-to-day. Three days ago, he had returned to the Chargers lineup.

One week ago, the Chargers announced that Tomlinson was out with a sprained right big toe. It is unclear how long he’ll deal with this sprained big toe this time.

Last time, he only needed a few days. Then, he played through the pain in the game against the Denver Broncos.

In the game against the Broncos, he only had 10 carries. He had 26 rushing yards in the contest.

Plus, he also had two receptions for 14 yards.

In two games, Tomlinson has had 31 carries for 123 yards in the young season. However, he has yet to score a rushing touchdown.

In addition, he has also had five receptions for 29 yards.

During the 2007 season, Tomlinson was a workhorse, as he had 315 carries. He had 1,474 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns.

He had a season-high 198 rushing yards in a 28-14 win over the Oakland Raiders. Tomlinson also had four touchdowns in the contest.
