The Philadelphia Eagles reportedly have five candidates on their head coaching candidate list. On Monday, the Eagles fired long-time head football coach Andy Reid.
And they are looking for an offensive-minded coach to replace Reid. At least that is what is being put out in the media.
Penn State head coach Bill O’Brien, Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter, San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator Greg Roman, Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Bruce Arians, and Oregon Ducks head coach Chip Kelly are the names on the list. Several Eagles officials are traveling on Wednesday to Atlanta to interview Koetter.

Roman is also available this week for an interview, as the 49ers have a first-round bye in the playoffs. Roman has been the 49ers offensive coordinator since January 2011.
This season was Koetter’s first year as the offensive coordinator in Atlanta. He was the Jacksonville Jaguars offensive coordinator from 2007 to 2011.
He was the Arizona State Sun Devils head coach from 2001 to 2006. He was also the Boise State head coach from 1998 to 2000.
He has a 66-44 record as a college head coach.
Arians came to the Indianapolis Colts in 2012. He started out as the Colts offensive coordinator, then was moved to interim head coach. He took over for Chuck Pagano, as the head coach was in the hospital with leukemia.
He was 9-3 under the interim head coach tag. This was his first NFL head coaching position, even as an interim coach.
He was previously the Temple Owls head coach from 1983 to 1988. He had a 21-45 record at Temple.
He has been a full-time NFL coach since 1998, the year he began to mentor Peyton Manning for two seasons.
O’Brien just completed his first year as the Penn State head football coach. He was 8-4 this season, as the school lost several players after NCAA sanctions in the summertime.
O’Brien has a $9 million dollar buyout in his contract should he accept an NFL job. He also won the Maxwell and the Big Ten Coach of the Year Awards this season.
He was the New England Patriots offensive coordinator in 2011.
Kelly has been the Ducks’ head coach since 2009. He has a 45-7 career record as the Ducks’ head coach.

This has been his first head coaching experience. Kelly has no prior NFL experience, even as an assistant coach.
