James Neal has been traded to the Nashville Predators. Between the 8th and 9th pick of the 2014 NFL Draft, the trade became official.
In exchange, the Pittsburgh Penguins are receiving two players in the deal. They are Patric Hörnqvist and Nick Spaling.

Neal spent parts of the last four seasons with the Penguins after he had been acquired in a trade from the Dallas Stars during the 2010-11 season. He was traded to the Penguins in February 2011 as he was traded with Matt Niskanen in exchange for Alex Goligoski.

This past season, Neal appeared in 59 games. He had 27 goals.
Neal also had 34 assists and accounted for 61 points on the season.
He had 16 even-strength goals. The 11 other goals came on the power play.
In addition, the 27 goals were the most he had in a season since the 2011-12 season, his first full season with the Penguins. He had 40 goals that season. The 40 goals are a career-high for him.
His final game in a Penguins jersey came in a playoff loss to the New York Rangers on May 13th, 2014. He had four shots in 22 minutes and 34 seconds.
The last regular season game that Neal played in came against the Ottawa Senators on April 13th, 2014. He had two shots in 19 minutes and five seconds of action.
Hörnqvist spent his entire career with the Predators before the deal. He spent six seasons in Nashville before the move was made.

In his final season, he appeared in 76 games. He had 22 goals. Plus, he also had 31 assists for 53 points.
Like Hörnqvist, Spaling spent his entire career in Nashville before the trade. He played five seasons with the team before this trade.
This past season, he appeared in 71 games. He had 13 goals. Plus, he also had 19 assists for 32 points.
