In the coming weeks, NASCAR will be leaving ESPN. The NASCAR personalities will have to find new positions.
Brad Daugherty, who is part-owner of a JTG Daughtery Racing, who won their first race in August, will stay with ESPN now as an NBA and College Basketball Analyst. He will now appear regularly on NBA Tonight, NBA Coast to Coast, SportsCenter and other programming.

In addition, he will serve as an analyst for ESPNU’s ACC Sunday night games, beginning December 1st. He will also report on other select games, which will be determined later.

“I’m ecstatic about having the opportunity to remain a part of the ESPN family,” he said. “I thoroughly look forward to working with the talented individuals and crews that bring basketball into millions of homes on ESPN throughout the season.”
He previously served as an ESPN NASCAR analyst, where he was NASCAR Countdown, NASCAR Now, and other ESPN platforms. He was previously a college basketball reporter for ESPN and ABC on ACC broadcasts from 1999 through 2001.
He has also served as a game analyst for the Cleveland Cavaliers and the San Antonio Spurs.

The North Carolina graduate was the first overall pick in the 1986 NBA Draft by the Cavaliers, where he played eight years. He averaged 19 points and 9.5 rebounds per game, and his No. 43 jersey is retired by the Cavaliers in 1997.
