The Boston Bruins will have a giant boost to their lineup on Sunday. The Bruins captain Zdeno Chára will return to the lineup on Sunday.
The Bruins face the Philadelphia Flyers on Easter Sunday in Philadelphia at the Wells Fargo Center at 12:30 pm EST. He’s missed the last nine games due to what has been described as a lower-body injury.

Chára, a 6-foot-9 defenseman, will return at the right time. The Bruins lost defenseman Brandon Carlo on Saturday to a leg injury at TD Garden in Boston, Mass.

Carlo suffered a broken fibula. The injury happened in the third period against the Florida Panthers, as his leg got tangled on the ice when he was falling down.
He is definitely done for the rest of the regular season, as there are only a few games left. Depending on how far the Bruins go in the playoffs, there is a chance he could return in the extra stanza of the season.
Chára has appeared in 68 games this season. He has had seven goals and 16 assists.

Prior to his injury, the 41-year-old, who has been with the Bruins since 2006-07, was leading the Boston blueliners with 23 minutes of ice per game. He has not played for the team since March 13th.
The Bruins lead the Eastern Conference with 109 points. Boston is 49-17-11 on the season.
