2019 Legends vs. Fleet Week 2 preview

In the final game of Week 2 in the Alliance of American Football, two 0-1 teams will attempt to get their first game of the season. The Atlanta Legends face the San Diego Fleet on Sunday night.

The game will kick off at 8 pm EST, 5 pm local time. This game will be broadcasted on the NFL Network at SDCCU Stadium in San Diego, California.

In Week 1, the Fleet were defeated 15-6 by the Commanders in the first nationally-televised broadcast on CBS from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. The Legends were defeated 40-6 by the Orlando Apollos.

Legends quarterback Matt Simms went 15 of 28 for 126 yards and two interceptions. Backup quarterback Aaron Murray went 4 of 7 for 38 yards with an interception.

Tarean Folston had 12 carries for 32 yards. Lawrence Pittman had three carries for 24 yards.

Seantavius Jones had three receptions for 43 yards. Justin Thomas had four receptions for 35 yards and Bug Howard had four receptions for 34 yards.

Fleet quarterback Mike Bercovici began the game before being benched in the season-opener. Bercovici went 15 of 25 for 176 yards and two interceptions.

Backup Philip Nelson went 5 of 10 for 68 yards and an interception.

Ja’Quan Gardner had eight carries for 55 yards. Nelson had three carries for 20 yards.

Gavin Escobar had four receptions for 66 yards. Brian Brown had five receptions for 66 yards. Dontez Ford had three receptions for 56 yards.
