The No. 7 Towson Tigers picked up the biggest win of their young season. The Tigers defeated No. 1 Loyola Greyhounds, 12-10, on Wednesday night at Unitas Stadium in Towson, Maryland.
The Tigers improved to 4-0 on the season. The Greyhounds suffered their first loss, as they fell to 3-1 overall.
This is Towson’s third win over a ranked team to begin the season. They defeated the # 16/No. 18 Georgetown Hoyas this past Saturday. The team also began the season with a win over then-No. 7 Johns Hopkins Blue Jays on Feb. 9.

The Tigers scored six goals in each half. The Greyhounds also scored five goals in each half.
Brendan Sunday led the Tigers with four goals. Brody McLeon, Timmy Monahan, and Luke Fromert had two goals each. Jake McLean and Grant Maloof also had a goal each.
Towson had five assists from five different players. McLean, Brody McLean, Maloof, Sunday, and Alex Woodall had assists.
Kevin Lindley scored six of the Greyhounds’ goals. Pat Spencer, Chase Scanlan, Aidan Olmstead, and Alex Johnson had a goal each.
Spencer also had four assists, while Scanlan had two and Olmstead had one.

Tigers goalie Tyler Canto received the win. He allowed 10 goals with 14 saves.
Greyhounds goalie Jacob Stover received the loss. He allowed 12 goals with 13 saves.
