The Franklin & Marshall Diplomats men’s basketball game was postponed on Friday night. The game was canceled due to protests.
People around the campus allege that Halloween costumes by several players were disrespectful to several cultures. No makeup date has been announced at this time.

Protestors protested on the basketball court for 10 minutes, according to WFMZ. This caused the Athletic Department to call the contest.

The individuals, who wore the costumes, were combined with five members of the men’s basketball team and men’s soccer team. One member of the basketball team, Justin Kupa apologized to his teammates.
“There are important issues that every community is facing, every college campus. But it’s with us right now at F&M,” Margaret Hazlett, the school’s Vice President, said.

Hazlett said the players in question are in the school’s student conduct process. They could be facing punishment in the future, she added, according to the post.
