High School Football is very big in Texas. It’s one of the premiere spots for football in the country.

However, the sports world has taken a backseat with an incident that happened during a game on Thursday night. The incident happened during the Edinburg High School Bobcats vs. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo High School Bears game.

He was hit with an unsportsmanlike penalty, which led to his ejection. Following the referee announcing his ejection, Duron ran back onto the field.

Duron wanted to get even with the referee, who had just ejected him. He then assaulted the referee.

“Really, really ugly moment here in Edinburg,” reporter Andrew McCulloch said on Twitter. “I don’t know what happened, but Emmanuel Duron was ejected from the game. Moments later, he ran onto the field and body-slammed the ref, who ejected him.

“Ref is still down on the turf. #RGVFootball #txhsfb”

Eventually, McCulloch reported that the referee would not return to the game. The officials had to be shorthanded for the rest of the game. McCulloch is reporting that he’s hearing that the official had a ‘possible concussion and a shoulder injury.’
