According to reports, Barcelona soccer star Sergio Agüero has been sent to the hospital. He had experienced a ‘cardiac exam.’
He was allegedly experiencing chest pains during a game on Saturday against Alaves. The teams had a 1-1 draw.
Before halftime, Agüero was holding his chest. Barcelona then removed him after halftime.

Medical personnel was working with Agüero, as he was laying on his back during the second session. He walked off the pitch on his own.
“I was told he was feeling a bit dizzy,” Barcelona coach Sergi Barjuan said. “I have just learned that he was taken to the hospital and I can’t say much more until I know.”
According to a Barcelona team post, it suggests that Agüero experienced a ‘cardiac exam.’ We have no more information at this time.

At this time, we do not know how long Agüero will miss. He could potentially miss an extended period with this diagnosis.
Agüero signed a two-year contract with Barcelona on May 31st, 2021. His contract kicked in on July 1.
His buyout reportedly was €100 million. He appeared in just four games with the team before this cardiac event.
