Former Bama player Grant Hill has passed away

Former Alabama Crimson Tide football player Grant Hill has passed away. He was 26.

An official cause of death has not been confirmed yet. He died on Tuesday morning.

“Grant Hill was a wonderful teammate and friend,” Alabama Crimson Tide Football said on Twitter. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends during this devastating time.”

He was part of the team’s 2013 recruiting class. Hill was a member of the Crimson Tide’s 2014 Southeastern Conference Championship team.

He was also apart of the Crimson Tide’s inaugural College Football Playoff roster. Alabama was defeated by the Ohio State Buckeyes in one of the first two semifinals of the college Football Playoff era.

Hill decided to leave the team before the 2015 college football season. He was forced to step away from the team due to a medical issue..
