The No. 25 Texas Tech Red Raiders defeated No. 6 Kansas Jayhawks on Saturday. The Red Raiders won 75-67 over the Jayhawks at United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock, Texas.
With the win, the Red Raiders improved to 11-3 on the season. The loss dropped the Jayhawks to 12-2.
The Red Raiders won the game without their top two scorers.
This is their first win over a ranked team this season. Before this game, the team lost their previous two games vs. ranked teams this season.
The team lost to No. 5 Gonzaga Bulldogs 69-55. They also were defeated 51-47 by the No. 11 Iowa State Cyclones.
Despite the loss, the Jayhawks lead the all-time series 38-7. Texas Tech is 6-16 vs. the Jayhawks at home in the series.
Bryson Williams led the Red Raiders with 22 points. He also had eight rebounds and three assists.
Clarence Nadolny joined Williams in double-digits on the team. He had 17 points.
Texas Tech had 14 bench points. Marcus Santos-Silva led the bench with seven points.
Ochai Agbaji led the Jayhawks with 24 points. He also had four rebounds and two assists.
Agbaji were one of three players, who scored in double figures in the game. Jalen Wilson also had 20, while Christian Harris added 10 points.
Kansas has just 11 bench points. Jalen Coleman-Lands led the bench with 5 points.
