Drag racer Tony Christian has passed away

According to Street Outlaws star Jeff Lutz, drag racer Tony Christian has passed away. No age was provided.

An official cause of death has not been announced yet.

“Lost one of my best friends rest in peace Tony Christian,” Lutz said in the Facebook post. “You are a legend.”

Christian has had a storied career as a driver. He was part of the NMCA when that organization was just beginning.

His final race came at the Real World Street Nationals in Orlando, Florida in 2010.

He also raced in the NHRA. He previously competed in Pro Stock. He competed in the NHRA in the 1970s and 1980s.

Christian even had a feud with Pat Musi at one point.

“RIP to a real legend Tony Christian you was a idol to me an always cool to talk to hang out with,” Lil Legend Bobby Ducote said. “GodSpeed.”
