The Tampa Bay Lightning and the New York Rangers are playing in the Eastern Conference Finals. The winner of this series will advance to play the Colorado Avalanche in the Stanley Cup Finals.
On Thursday night, a Rangers fan sucker punched a Lightning fan at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The unnamed Lightning fan was knocked out cold.

TMZ Sports is reporting that this punch came after the Lightning defeated the Rangers. They’re reporting that the incident happened around 10:50 pm.
According to the New York Police Department, the two men were involved in an altercation. Then, seconds later, one man was out cold.
TMZ Sports is reporting that the man, who was the aggressor, briefly escaped. When a witness caught up with the man, he allegedly attacked the witness too.
Police eventually caught up to 29-year-old James Anastasio. He has been charged with assault, disorderly conduct, and harassment.
The unnamed man, who was attacked, was eventually able to wake up. Police said that he was in stable condition.
Tampa Bay leads the series 3-2. The Lightning can close out the series on Saturday night at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.
