Kraig Kinser suffered concussion at Beaver Dam

Kinser Racing will be sidelined for some time. The team has announced that driver Kraig Kinser has suffered a concussion.

He will miss tonight’s Jim “JB” Boyd Memorial at Beaver Dam Raceway in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. From Wednesday through Saturday, he could miss the four races at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, South Dakota.

Kinser may return on Friday, July 1st for the Independence Day Spectacular at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin.

“Last night, Kraig was involved in a crash at Beaver Dam Raceway,” the Kinser Racing Facebook page said in a post. “Unfortunately, Kraig sustained a concussion and will not be racing until further notice. We will keep you updated. Thank you all for your ongoing support.

“Special thank you to Bell Racing, DRC Chassis Inc., and Crow Enterprises, we’re grateful for your quality products!”

Currently, the driver of the 11K is in the 11th position in the points standings. The Bloomington, Indiana native has 3,038 points thus far on the season.

He is 712 points behind points leader Brad Sweet, who has 3,750 points. Kinser has made 24 points, as of Friday night, while most drivers made 27 starts.

With the concussion that could put Kinser out for several weeks, he will fall further down in the points standings.
