Union score six goals in a win over Dynamo FC

Chester, Pa. — The Philadelphia Union dominated the Houston Dynamo FC. The Union won 6-0 on Saturday night at Subaru Park.

With the win, the Union remains undefeated at home. They are 7-0-5 this season in front of the home fans.

Philadelphia is the only MLS team to have an undefeated record at home this late in the season.

Overall, the Union improved to 12-2-9. They have 45 points.

The Union remains the Eastern Conference leader with 45 points. NYCFC, which the Union has defeated twice this season, trails behind with 42 points.

The Dynamo FC fell to 7-12-4. Houston has 25 points.

Mikael Uhre led the Union with two goals. He scored his first goal at the 45+1 mark right before halftime.

Several minutes after the break, Uhre scored his second goal at the 48-minute mark.

Daniel Gazdag scored a goal in the 23rd minute. Jack McGlynn also scored a goal in the 42nd minute.

This was McGlynn’s first MLS goal. He scored on a free kick from approximately 25 feet away.

Julian Carranza scored in the 55th minute. The team’s final goal came in the 89th minute when Quinn Sullivan scored.

In two of the Union’s home games this month, the team has scored 13 goals. Outside of their six-goal output against Dynamo FC, the team had a seven-goal performance against D.C. United on July 8th.

Before their seven goals against D.C. United, the team had scored two goals as their high point in a game.
