Mohnton, Pa. — Rocky Mountain Twist/Montana Brand sponsored driver Austin Prock has won the Pep Boys NHRA Nationals. He defeated Justin Ashley in the final round at Maple Grove Raceway.
Prock went 3.755 at 329.67 mph to get the win. Ashley, who went to the final round the past two seasons in his home track, went 3.783 at 326.40 mph.

Ashley was 5-0 against Prock in prior events. The New York native also held a 1-0 advantage over the Indiana native in previous final round.
With the win, the John Force Racing driver will get to celebrate with his father in the Winner’s Circle. Jimmy Prock, who is a tuner for Funny Car driver Robert Hight, guided his team to the Wally, as well.
Prock had the lead by the 330 foot mark. Then by the time the cars reached the 1/8th mark, they were tied.
He then regained the lead and went on to get the win. Prock won by 0.0048 seconds or approximately two feet.
