Arizona Cardinals star J.J. Watt shared some disturbing news on Sunday. And yet, he says he’s going to play.
Watt said he had an A-Fib on Wednesday. His heart was then shocked into rhythm.
“I was just told somebody leaked some personal information about me and it’s going to be reported on today,” Watt said in a tweet. “I went into A-Fib on Wednesday, had my heart shocked back into rhythm on Thursday and I’m playing today. That’s it.”
An individual goes through an A-Fib due to poor circulation in their blood flow. They’re experiencing an irregular heartbeat.
Watt, who is a freak of an athlete, has dealt with numerous injuries over his NFL career. But this one is the most disturbing because he wants to play less than a week later.
The Cardinals are on the road today against the Carolina Panthers. It’s going to be worth monitoring Watt’s condition throughout the day as Head coach Kliff Kingsbury and the defensive coaching staff may not play him much in this game.
They’re going to have to have an extra eye on him to make sure he does not experience any problems on the field today.
