On Sat. night, Josh Hart was a special evening for the Ocala, Fla. native at the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Regional at Atco Dragway. He defeated Daniel Page – as the No. 1 and No. 2 qualifiers faced off in the final round.
Hart went 5.34 at 269.56 mph for the win, while Page went 5.40 at 270.16. Also, the crew chiefs of Hart and Page’s dragsters are brothers.

After the win, Hart is presently third in the Top Alcohol Dragster points standings. Rich McPhillips – who won the previous two Atco events – leads with 320 points, while Duane Shields – who Hart defeated in the first-round – has 299 points. Hart has 266 points.
Shields is the reigning Northeast Champion, even though he’s from Boulder City, Nev. In addition, Hart considers Shields to be his mentor.
