Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young is not starting on Saturday night. The top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide is hosting the Texas A&M Aggies on CBS at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Young was injured one week ago in a win against the Arkansas Razorbacks. The 2021 Heisman winner suffered a sprained shoulder in the win.
The undefeated Crimson Tide is starting Jalen Milroe. This is the sophomore’s first college start.

Depending on how Milroe does against the Aggies, the Crimson Tide may be forced to turn back to Young. But head coach Nick Saban would only use Young if Milroe would struggle.
Young – who is attempting to become the second player to win a second Heisman with Archie Griffin – started five games on the season. He has gone 90 of 134 for 1,202 yards.
The Pasadena, California native has thrown 14 touchdown passes. He also has three interceptions.
