The New York Jets found out devastating news today that rookie running back Breece Hall suffered a torn ACL. He was injured on Sunday against the Denver Broncos.

With Hall out for the season, Jets GM Joe Douglas needed to do something to spark the running game. Tonight, he made a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Douglas acquired running back James Robinson in the trade with the Jaguars. In exchange, the Jaguars received a 2023 sixth-round draft pick.

Depending on a certain criteria, the drag pick could turn into a fifth-round draft pick.

Robinson spent two-plus seasons with the Jaguars. He had no stats in the loss on Sunday against the New York Giants.

This season, Robinson has appeared in seven games. He has made five starts.

He has had 81 carries for 340 yards and three touchdowns. Robinson also had nine receptions for 46 yards and a touchdown.

Robinson will compete with Michael Carter to be the starting running back. Hall had been the team’s starting back for the last two games.

Carter started the first five games to begin the season.

In seven games, Hall had 80 carries for 463 yards and four touchdowns. Hall had 188 yards in the past two games before suffering his season-ending injury.

He had four carries for 72 yards before his injury.
