In a corresponding move, the Heat have signed Orlando Robinson to a two-way contract. The financial terms of his contract were not disclosed.

Robinson comes to the Heat after playing for the Skyforce. While there, he was the team’s leading scorer with 20 points per game. He also averaged 9.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.25 steals, and 1.0 blocks in 31.2 minutes per game.

He led the team in points, rebounds, blocks, and field goals made during his time in the G-League with the Skyforce.

Smith played in one game with the Heat this season. He scored two points in five minutes of action.

Robinson will wear No. 25. Like Smith, Robinson is expected to be a reserve player for the Heat.

Smith was an undrafted free agent in the 2021 NBA Draft. He signed with the Heat and played with the team in the 2021 NBA Summer League.

Due to his success with the Summer League team, he was extended a contract. He was released before the 2021-22 season.

He joined the Skyforce as an affiliate player. In February 2022, he was released following a season-ending injury.

The Heat signed Smith to a two-way contract on October 13th, 2022.
