D’Sean Perry and two other UVa FB players killed in shooting

The Charlottesville, Virginia authorities have identified D’Sean Perry as one of the three victims in the mass shooting on Sunday night at the University of Virginia. Perry was a junior at the school.

He was also a member of the Virginia Cavaliers football team. Also killed in the shooting were wide receivers Devin Chandler and Level Davis Jr.

The suspect also had ties to the football team. Christopher Darnell Jones Jr. was listed on the Cavaliers 2018 team. However, he never played in a game.

While he stopped playing football, he remained at Virginia. Jones Jr. was arrested on Monday morning, police said at a press conference around 11 am.

At the time of publication, he is facing three counts of second-degree murder. He is also facing three counts of using a handgun to commit a felony.

Jones Jr. Is also the suspect in shooting two students during the commission of the crime that involved the three football players. He has not been charged with these crimes yet.

One student is in critical condition. The other is in good condition.

Perry appeared in seven games with the Cavaliers this season. He had two tackles on Saturday in a loss to the Pittsburgh Panthers.

He has 5 tackles and one tackle for a loss in the aforementioned seven games this season.

Before this season, Perry appeared in one game in 2021 against the Duke Blue Devils. He made his college football debut on November 21st, 2020 against Abilene Christian Wildcats.
