UFC leaked Jon Jones return in March?

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has an announcement to make. They have leaked Jon Jones’ return to the sport.

The former heavyweight champion has not fought in three years. Now, he has a fight.

Jones is expected to fight Ciryl Gane for the Heavyweight Championship at UFC 285 on March 4th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. This marquee is currently on a video board outside the T-Mobile Arena.

The UFC returns on Saturday after a break for the holidays. At some point during the card, the UFC announcers are expected to announce this fight.

The 32-year-old Gane will bring an 11-1 record into the fight. He has five knockouts.

His only loss came to Francis Ngannou on January 22nd, 2022 by unanimous decision. Before this fight, Ngannou apparently suffered a torn ACL and MCL.

Following the loss, Gane rebounded his last fight. He defeated Tai Tuivasa by knockout in the third round of their fight on September 3rd, 2022.

The 35-year-old Jones will bring a 26-1 record into the bout. He has 10 knockouts in his career.

Jones has not been defeated since 2009. He was defeated by Matt Hamill at The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale on December 5th, 2009.

He was disqualified for illegal elbows.
